Washington State Math Championship (WSMC) from 2012-2013

About Washington State Math Championship (WSMC) WSMC consists of six tests: one thirty-problem individual test and five team tests, covering Algebra, Geometry, Potpourri, Probability, and Mental Math. Each individual must compete as part of a team; each team must be specified as belonging to the 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade division. The top fifteen individuals in grades 5 and 6, the top ten individuals in grades 7 and 8, and top ten teams in each division will receive awards.

Cost: $45 per team (early registration) or $50 per team (late registration)

Set-up and Instructions: 9:20 – 9:30 Assigned Classrooms

Mental Math: – No Caculators 10:10 – 10:35 Assigned Classrooms
Morning Break: 10:35 – 10:50 Assigned Classrooms
Probability: 10:50 – 11:10 Assigned Classrooms
Algebra: 11:15 – 11:35 Assigned Classrooms
Geometry: 11:40 – 12:00 Assigned Classrooms
Potpourri: 12:05 – 12:25 Assigned Classrooms
Lunch: 12:25 – 1:15 On your own
Entertainment: 1:15 – 2:00 Blaine High Gym
Awards: 2:15 – 2:45 Blaine High Gym
