Northwest Math Championship from 2012-2013

About Northwest Math Championship The Northwest Math Championship consists of five tests: one forty-problem individual test and four team tests, covering Algebra, Geometry, Potpourri, and Mental Math. Each individual must compete as part of a team; each team must be specified as belonging to either the 9th and 10th grade division or the 11th and 12th grade division. The top ten individuals and top ten teams in each division will receive awards.

Food Info: Lunches will be available for $6.00. Lunch will consist of a ham or turkey sandwich, chips, fruit, carrots, beverage and ice cream. A vegetarian lunch, which will include your choice of a peanut butter or cheese sandwich, will also be available. Lunches must be purchased when registering for the competition. There is not time to go to a restaurant for lunch.
Registration Information: A registration can be found online at the competition website. After completing the form, mail it to the competition coordinator by the registration deadline as directed on the form.
Other Details: Tests will be completed on Scantron forms.
Calculators may be used on all tests except Mental Math. No QWERTY keyboards or TI 92 calculators will be allowed. No PDA’s (Personal Digital Assistants) or cell phones with math capabilities will be allowed.
The first 10 questions of the individual test will be used toward the team test results. The top 3 scores will be counted.
